Hello everyone!
This week, we enjoyed a fun and creative craft activity—making our own Japanese-style paper fan! This activity was designed especially for our little learners to explore colors, shapes, and textures while practicing simple fine motor skills.
We prepared fan-shaped paper cutouts for the children to decorate.
On one side of the fan, the children pasted colorful pieces of origami paper. The variety of bright colors and textures kept them excited and engaged.
On the other side, we used watercolors and shape block toys (like circles, triangles, and squares) to do shape stamping. The children loved seeing the shapes appear as they dipped the blocks into paint and pressed them onto the paper.
Once both sides were decorated and dry, we attached the paper cutouts to the fan base to complete our handmade fan.
The children were so proud of their beautiful, colorful fans! This simple activity gave them a chance to express creativity in their own unique way.
Thank you 😊
See you next week
