Today we tried teaching food diversity to children at Harmony preschool by exploring the staple food of Egypt and India.(countries of Ms.Manar&Ms.naina)
Native teachers gave a short description of their staple food, including how it is prepared.
Children learned about the new food and touched the ingredients.
We compared Japanese rice and Indian rice 🍚.
They loved touching colorful lentils and pasta.
Surprised looking at Indian bread(チャパティ) that looks so different to what they eat.

We talked about how they are the same or different from what they usually eat.
Children learned new vocabulary like sweet, spicy and reviewed veggies vocabulary.
It was fun to know food around the world. 😊
