Hello everyone!
Nothing says summer like a pair of cheerful sandals! In this activity, our toddlers designed their own paper beach sandals with wide colorful bands. Using stamping, stickers, and bright paints, each child created a unique pair. We used pre-cut sandal sole shapes, pre-cut wide bands, washable paints, cotton earbuds for flower stamping and round stickers.
We started with the sandal sole. Children dip the cotton earbuds into paint and stamped onto the soles.
Next we decorated the band.
Children covered the band with round stickers, turning them into bright and playful decorations.
Once the paint had dried we put both the parts together to make our pair of sandals.
This activity was a wonderful way for little ones to explore colors, patterns, and textures. No two sandals looked the same, each pair reflected the imagination and individuality of its maker.
