Last week, the kids enjoyed exploring the real vegetables and fruit and Today, we continued the fun by having sensory play with food. 🌾🍝
We started by introducing food from countries of Our Native teachers.
These are lentils, they come in different colors.
The kids couldn't wait to try and touch the bags filled with rice, lentils, and chickpeas.
This flour is so soft, unlike the spaghetti
Now, let's take these out of the bags, so that we can feel the textures.
Can I mix them? Wow!
Now, we have a surprise, we're going to touch the cooked food. Yeah!!
This rice is soft and sticky now.
I will add rice and chickpeas to my dish.
How about some cooked spaghetti?
The kids had so much fun playing with real food, exploring new ingredients, and learning the difference between cooked and uncooked food.
