Fun with Numbers

 

Hello Everyone 

For today’s activity we introduced numbers to our little ones with a playful activity, using Hopscotch that turns number learning into a fun and active game.

This activity combines gross motor skills with early math concepts in a way that’s simple and fun! 

We used soft foam number mats (1 to 10) and large paper cards with numbers (1to 4) and tape to stick cards to the floor. We also used music and soft ball for added engagement.

We began with teachers pointing to each number and saying it clearly and let the children explore and walk or crawl over them freely at first.

Then we tossed a soft ball onto a number and encouraged the kids to say that number aloud. 

We did the number hunt game too.

For today we kept the activity relaxed and playful with the learning benefits like number recognition, gross motor development and listening skills.
